Weather: Wet start to work week today, clearing Tuesday

The work week here in Coweta County will get a wet start weather-wise today with clearing and sunshine returning on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.
An 80 percent rain chance is expected for today, mainly after 1 p.m., with a high near 45 degrees. Then overnight, the rain chance is 50 percent with a low dropping to 35.
On Tuesday, patchy fog begins the day before 9 a.m. then sunny skies return later in the morning. The forecast high will be near 53 with Northwest winds around 5 mph. Overnight, look for clear skies and a low of 29.
Wednesday and Thursday will be sunny with highs in the mid-50s and overnight lows in the 30s.
And on Friday, it will be partly cloudy skies with a 20 percent rain chance and a high near 53.
The weekend looks nice with sunny skies on both Saturday and Sunday and a high near 50, lows in the upper 20s.

TUESDAY – Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 53. Northwest wind around 5 mph.
TUESDAY NIGHT – Mostly clear, with a low around 29. Northwest wind around 5 mph.
WEDNESDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 53. Northwest wind around 5 mph.
THURSDAY – Sunny, with a high near 57.
FRIDAY – A 20 percent chance of rain after 8am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 53.
