The events are not as plentiful this weekend, the last one prior to Spring Break here in Coweta County.
On Friday evening, the Spring Art Walk kicks off the 2019 Downtown Newnan Calendar of Events from 5-9 p.m.
The Keep Coweta Healthy event highlights Saturday’s activities and takes place at Northgate High School.
And on Sunday, former collegiate head football coach and NFL player Bill Curry speaks at the Senoia United Methodist Church.
The weather will be warm on Friday and Saturday with highs in the mid-70s. On Sunday, a 50 percent rain chance and a mostly cloudy sky is in the forecast with cooler temperatures. The high will only be 62.

FRIDAY, MARCH 29
Exercise is Medicine
The Carnegie Library hosts this 45-minute class on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. A wellness class for prevention and management of chronic disease conditions. Call for details.

Newnan Trolley Service
This free service is offered to take riders from downtown Newnan to Ashley Park. Runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Pickup locations at City Hall, the Governor Ellis Arnall Parking Lot on Madison Street, and Ashley Park near DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse.

Spring Art Walk
The Spring Art Walk officially kicks off the calendar of events for 2019 in downtown Newnan. The Art Walk Event is a free event and a celebration of local art. Come see art come to life on downtown’s sidewalks! During the Art Walk, businesses extend their hours to host storefront exhibits and demonstrations curated by a variety of Newnan’s finest artists. Some of our local businesses will serve complimentary tastings and hors d’oeuvres and have specials and promotions throughout the night. Visitors can expect to stroll through over 35 locations and see the work of at least 50 artists, and you will find a wide variety of art styles and mediums, including oil on canvas, chalk art, engraving, pottery, photography, jewelry making, fiber arts, performing arts and acrylics. The downtown streets and sidewalks are sure to be filled with unexpected talent and delightful entertainment! There is no fee for admission to this event. And this event is an approved open container event.

Eye-Spy Camera Scavenger Hunt at The Bend
New Eye-Spy Camera Scavenger Hunt at the Chattahoochee Bend State Park. Bring your camera and take a look around our park for the items on our scavenger hunt list. Take a picture with each item on our list and bring your completed list and pictures to the office to claim your prize. Stop by the visitor center to pick up your scavenger hunt checkoff list. Event is free.

Former Collegiate Coach Bill Curry to speak
Former collegiate head coach, television analyst and professional football player Bill Curry will speak at the Senoia United Methodist Church. Curry will speak during the morning worship hour which begins at 11 a.m. The public is invited to attend. He has spent his entire life as a leader and communicator. His NFL career included two Super Bowl titles and a stint as the President of the NFL Players Association. He later served as head coach for Georgia Tech (’80-’86); the University of Alabama (’87-’89); the University of Kentucky (’90-’96); and Georgia State University (’08-’12). From 1997 to 2008, Bill came into millions of homes each Saturday as a college football analyst for ESPN.
