CTCA in Newnan hosts event in honor of Certified Nurses Day

Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) in Newnan hosted an event and ribbon-cutting ceremony in honor of Certified Nurses Day.

During the event, they unveiled a new digital display recognizing the unique contributions of the hospital’s certified nurses. Celebrated internationally each year, Certified Nurses Day is dedicated to spotlighting certification as a means to ensure high standards of patient care and to promote continued excellence in the nursing profession.

Initially proposed by the , Certified Nurses Day honors the birthday of the late Margretta “Gretta” Madden Styles, who pioneered the first comprehensive study of nurse credentialing.
