It’s a weekend and rain is in the forecast. What else is new?

According to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City, rain will move into the area later today and will remain in the forecast into early next week. It will not be a continuous rain event, as Saturday afternoon appears the best chance to stay dry.

Below is a day-by-day forecast from the NWS:

FRIDAY – A 40 percent chance of showers, mainly after 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 63. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

SATURDAY – A 50 percent chance of showers, mainly before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 66. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.

SUNDAY – Rain likely, mainly after 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 65. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
