Wind Advisory in effect from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a Wind Advisory for North and Central Georgia, including Coweta County, which will be in effect from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today (Thursday).
The Advisory states to expect winds near 20 mph from the west with gusts up to 35 mph. These gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Wet soils may allow some trees to down more easily.
Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
Today’s forecast – Showers and thunderstorms likely before 11am, then a slight chance of showers between 11am and 2pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 65. West wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
