Wreaths Across America Set For Dec. 18

The General Daniel Newnan Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, will be placing wreaths at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan on Saturday, December 18 as part of a simultaneous wreath-laying ceremony held all around the country.
The purpose is to remember the men and women who served our country, honor our military and their families, and teach our children about our freedom and those who protect it.
Each sponsorship goes toward a fresh balsam wreath to be placed at the headstone of our country’s fallen heroes, and through the act of saying each veteran’s name aloud as we pause to say thank you for their service and sacrifice.
Wreaths can be sponsored for as little as $15 by visiting the General Daniel Newnan Chapter page online at https://wreathsacrossamerica.org/GA0220P. The deadline to sponsor a wreath is November 30.
Blessings for supporting our veterans through Wreaths Across America.
Thank you for the article. Such a wonderful project and I am proud to be associated with such a group. You still have time to participate. If you live in SummerGrove and wish to participate with neighbors in SG and make a patrician donation, we are pooling our neighborhood monies and make a bulk purchase through the DAR chapter.
