From Coweta County School Press Release

Parents interested in signing up for the Coweta School System’s Empower Virtual Learning Program next school year can do so from May 25 through June 18.

Empower is Coweta Schools’ optional online program for grades K-8.  Empower will become a stand-alone, year-long Coweta County educational program starting in the 2021-22 school year.

Completing the registration officially registers students for the Empower Online Learning Program for the 2021-22 school year.  Based on the number of registrants and availability of classes (determined by funding size), some grade levels and classes may require a lottery drawing for available seats. Students who are not randomly selected for an available seat will  be placed on a waiting list.

Registration is open from May 25 to June 18, 2021.  If needed, the lottery drawing will be held on June 23, 2021.  After the lottery drawing, families of registered students will be notified of the results of the lottery and the status of the student’s enrollment to the program.

The Empower Virtual Learning Program is offered to Kindergarten through 8th grade students throughout our district, and provides CCSS certified teachers who are dedicated exclusively to online instruction.  Students will be expected to participate daily in live sessions, and district attendance policies will be followed.  The program will utilize all Coweta and state curriculum and grade level standards.  All district scheduling will be followed.
