Monday: Coweta adds 9 new COVID-19 cases

The 3 p.m. Daily Status Report of the COVID-19 pandemic has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Monday, July 13.

Today, Coweta County posted 9 new COVID-19 cases with no changes in deaths or hospitalizations. That’s 110 new cases in the past 7 days.

Coweta County’s cumulative totals include 897 cases, 16 deaths and 65 hospitalizations

Single-day highs for Coweta since the pandemic began in March follow: cases (46 on July 3); deaths (3 on May 21); and hospitalizations (6 on May 12).

Statewide, Georgia recorded its 2nd-highest single day total with 3,643 new cases on Monday. Other categories included 25 deaths, 217 hospitalizations and 22 ICU admits. It is the 22nd consecutive day the state has had 1,000-or-more cases in a single day and the 6th time since July 1 with 3,000-or-more cases.

Overall, Georgia has 120,569 cumulative cases, 3026 deaths, 13,476 hospitalizations and 2643 ICU admits.

Georgia’s single-day highs follow:  cases (4,484 on July 10); deaths (94 on April 20); hospitalizations (506 on April 7); ICU admits (46 on July 10).
