The 3 p.m. Daily Status Report of the COVID-19 pandemic has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Monday, Oct. 12.

COWETA COUNTY CASES

Coweta County confirmed 3 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, with no deaths or hospitalizations reported. The last time Coweta had only 3 cases in a single day was on Sept. 29.

To date, Coweta has registered cumulative totals of 2760 cases, 58 deaths and 139 hospitalizations. The overall positive test rate is 8.2 percent, and in the last two weeks, it’s 5.4 percent.

Single-day highs now for Coweta since the pandemic began in March follow: cases (66 on Aug. 26); deaths (4 on Aug. 13); and hospitalizations (6 on May 12).

GEORGIA CASES

Across the state on Monday, Georgia confirmed 902 cases (down 238 from Sunday’s total), 13 deaths, 21 hospitalizations and 3 ICU admits. It’s the 23rd consecutive day Georgia has been below 2,000 cases in a day, the 58th straight day below 3,000.

Overall, Georgia has recorded cumulative totals of 332,311 cases, 7429 deaths, 29,656 hospitalizations and 5514 ICU admits. The overall positive test rate is 9.8 percent, and in the last two weeks, it’s 5.6 percent.

Georgia’s single-day highs follow: cases (4,813 on July 24); deaths (122 on Aug. 11); hospitalizations (506 on April 7); ICU admits (97 on Aug. 12).
