Monday: Coweta increases by 10 cases of COVID-19

The 3 p.m. Daily Status Report of the COVID-19 pandemic has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Monday, July 6.
Today, Coweta County added 10 new cases of COVID-19 to its cumulative totals and had no changes in deaths or hospitalizations. It marks the 7th consecutive day Coweta has had at least 10-or-more new cases in a 24-hour period.
Coweta County now stands with cumulative totals of 787 cases, 16 deaths and 62 hospitalizations. Single-day highs for Coweta in various categories follow: cases – 46 (July 3); deaths – 3 (May 21); and hospitalizations – 6 (May 12).
Georgia had a another dip in new cases for the second straight day, dropping 649 cases from Sunday to 1,548 today. It was the 15th consecutive day the state had 1,000-or-more cases in a single day. Other Monday numbers included 18 deaths, 144 hospitalizations and 12 ICU admits.
The cumulative totals for Georgia – 97,064 cases, 2878 deaths, 11,919 hospitalizations, 2441 ICU admits. Tests given – 1,129,749.
