Mr. Personality – March 2018
March, kite season and a month of high winds that is sure to blow the month of April our way at long last. Be sure to save the date – March 23 – for the Spring Art Walk. I am sure that many of our Newnan artists took advantage of the many cold days to catch up on their artwork. I can hardly wait to see all the many colorful paintings and art all around the Courthouse Square.
You can count on seeing Mr. Personality in bright colors as I love to meet and converse with all the many interesting people that are sure to come and enjoy the event.
The treasure of the month for the Courthouse Square, the best kept secret in all of Georgia, is Lifetime Wellness Center located at 26 Perry St. The owner is Michele Feckoury and she offers a very unique approach to losing weight and keeping it off through a combination of exercise and proper diet. Michele has two highly trained professional coaches and five therapeutic toning tables. They are open by appointment only so call 770-712-9475 for a consultation. Tell them you read about them in The Paper.
I hope everyone enjoyed St. Valentine’s Day on February 14 as much as I did. You may have seen me all decked out in my pink suit and brand new cape, a new addition to my wardrobe that helps prevent me from blending into the background.
For the newcomers to Newnan, I would like to make a few suggestions that may enhance your visit and if you are moving to Newnan, you need to explore your new stomping ground one shop at a time and the Courthouse Square is a great place to start.
The Welcome Center, located inside the old Courthouse, can help you with any questions you may have about Newnan and Coweta County. Plus, they have my 2018 calendars that are one-of-a-kind.
The Carnegie Library is a great source of information and has a lot to offer. It is one of my favorite places. To tell the truth, I just love the entire Courthouse Square and have since I first experienced it in 2013.
The Leaf and Bean is a great place to meet interesting people. I make a new friend every time I visit that shop. That is how I ended up with 90 pen pals on my mailing list so far.
A great source of interesting information can be found right here in The Paper. It is free and not only is it packed with colorful personalities, it contains a section called “The Calendar” that lists all the many events for Newnan and Coweta County. The Paper can be found in just about every shop on the Square and at the Carnegie Library.
You can pick up a list of local MainStreet events at The Welcome Center and the Carnegie Library. I would like to say “Welcome to Newnan” – Heaven on earth and I hope to meet each one of you at some point. I have a name tag that reads “Mr. Personality.” That will help pick me out from the crowd.
Until next month, Love
