Congratulations to the National Champion Georgia Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs blitzed the Alabama Crimson Tide with 20 fourth-quarter points in taking an emphatic 33-18 victory, ending a 41-year drought between national titles for UGA. Head coach Kirby Smart stayed the course with former walk-on QB Stetson Bennett who delivered 2 TD passes in the decisive 4th quarter and also relied on a swarming defense, led by All-American Nakobe Dean, which held Bama to just 30 yards rushing for Georgia’s first national championship since 1980.

The Bulldogs finished the season 14-1, avenging their only loss of the year, that to Alabama in the SEC Championship game in early December while snapping a 7-game losing streak to the Tide as well. (Photo from GeorgiaDogs.com)
