From Special Reports

Below is a letter from Piedmont Newnan Hospital CEO Mike Robertson.

The health and safety of our patients, staff, and community is our highest priority. Piedmont Newnan Hospital is dedicated to positively impacting lives during this challenging time, both in and outside of the hospital. Under these circumstances, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone the Piedmont Newnan Soiree, originally scheduled for October 22.

Due to the alarming increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in our hospital and our community, and uncertainty on when this fourth wave will end, we believe the safest decision is to postpone the Soiree until Spring 2022. We hope you understand why we must make this difficult decision at this time and focus on caring for our community.

We urge you to continue doing everything you can to protect yourself, your friends and your family by practicing CDC guidelines around mask wearing, social distancing, and hand washing, and encourage others to do the same. Vaccinations are our primary tool for combating this virus. If you haven’t already done so, we encourage you to get your COVID-19 vaccine and reach out to your physician if you have any questions or concerns.

We are grateful for your understanding and your continued support and hope to share a new event date with you later this year.
