Weather Week in Coweta: Rain remains in the forecast

Another week of showers and thunderstorms is expected for Coweta County, according to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.
Rain chances start at 60 percent for today, then 50 percent on Tuesday, 40 percent Wednesday, 30 percent Thursday, and back up to 50 percent on Friday. Mostly cloudy skies are expected much of the week with highs in the mid-80s to near 90.
Though Coweta’s rain chances stay steady throughout the week, it’s unclear if the area will get any residual effects from the Tropical Storms in the Gulf of Mexico – Laura and Marco.
Low temperatures will be near 71 all week.

MONDAY – Showers likely, with thunderstorms also possible after 2pm. Cloudy, with a high near 82. East wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
MONDAY NIGHT – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71. East wind around 5 mph.
TUESDAY – A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 85. East wind around 5 mph. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
TUESDAY NIGHT – A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
WEDNESDAY – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 90. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph.
THURSDAY – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 90.
FRIDAY – A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 89.
