Rain enters New Year’s Eve forecast

From Staff Reports
Today closes the book on 2018 as folks prepare to ring in the New Year later tonight.
Weather could play a factor in tonight’s outdoor fireworks and get-togethers as a 70 percent rain chance is in the National Weather Service forecast, mainly after 8 p.m. Expect a high around 70 today, then a low near 60 overnight.
On New Year’s Day, the rain chance drops to 50 percent with a high near 65.
Three local venues will have live music during their respective New Year’s Eve celebrations, according to Kris Youman’s Live Music Calendar. The Alamo in downtown Newnan hosts its New Year’s Eve Party with II ToneDef. The Brickhouse on Hwy. 34 East has Melody Kiser and Melissa Crispo as their live music acts.
