Weekend Weather in Coweta: Rain today, clearing late Saturday & Sunday

The weekend weather pattern of rain continues again for another week, at least for today according to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.
After a 100 percent rain chance today, look for the wet stuff to begin moving out of the area tomorrow just in time for the city of Newnan annual Christmas Parade, set for 6 p.m.
Sunday appears to be the best day overall weather-wise, with partly sunny skies and a high around 54 degrees.
Below is the day-by-day forecast from NWS:
TODAY – Rain before 2pm, then showers after 2pm. High near 56. East wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
TONIGHT – Showers, mainly before 4am. Steady temperature around 54. East wind around 5 mph becoming south after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
SATURDAY – A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 53. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
SATURDAY NIGHT – A 20 percent chance of showers before 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 43. West wind around 5 mph.
SUNDAY – Partly sunny, with a high near 54. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
SUNDAY NIGHT – Partly cloudy, with a low around 38.
