The 3 p.m. Daily Status Report of the COVID-19 pandemic has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Saturday, Oct. 3.
COWETA COUNTY CASES
Coweta County confirmed 16 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday including 1 death and 1 hospitalization. The death was of an 85-year-old white male with underlying conditions.

Statewide on Saturday, Georgia confirmed 1444 cases (up 144 from Friday’s total), including 28 deaths, 133 hospitalizations and 17 ICU admits. It marks the 49th consecutive day the state has been below 3,000 cases in a day.
Presently, there are 1257 people in Georgia hospitalized, down 13 from Friday.
Overall, Georgia has recorded cumulative totals of 322,078 cases, 7134 deaths, 28,924 hospitalizations and 5354 ICU admits. The overall positive test rate is 10.1 percent and in the last 2 weeks, it’s 6.0 percent.
