From Special Reports

Sharing history took a hiatus recently while the Senoia Area Historical Society’s Museum closed during major reconstruction to replace four unstable chimneys/fireplaces.  But while the doors were closed to the public, the volunteers continued to work on projects and improvements throughout the Museum.

The Museum will reopen for tours beginning Friday, April 2nd. from 1 to 4 p.m., with a fresh perspective and some new Senoia artifacts on display. Thereafter, regular hours of Fridays and Saturdays 1:00 to 4:00 will resume.  Private tours can also be arranged by contacting the Museum Director, Maureen Schuyler, at 352-428-9916.

Additionally, new video vignettes will be hosted by SAHS Museum docents each week on Facebook and Instagram featuring various artifacts and stories from around the Museum.  Each vignette lasts about a minute so check out the social media sources for a weekly Senoia “Museum Moment”.
