Eye Spy Camera Scavenger Hunt

Saturday July 14, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Bring your camera and take a look around our park for items on our scavenger hunt list. Take a picture with each item on our list and bring your list and pictures to the office to claim your prize. Stop by the office to get your list before you start your journey. Event is free to all guests. $5 parking.

Owl Pellet Program

Saturday, July 14, noon – 1 p.m.

Learn about owls and dissect your own owl pellet to investigate your findings. $5 plus $5 parking.

Archery at the Park

Saturday, July 21, 1-4 p.m.

We provide basic instruction and archery equipment. Archery field is located behind the Day Use comfort station. No experience necessary; beginners welcome. $8 plus $5 parking.

Bald Eagle Program

Saturday, July 28, 1-2 p.m.

Join our naturalist to learn about the bald eagles we have here at the park. This short hike will lead us to the eagle nest. $3 plus $5 parking.

Newnan Shakespeare in the Park

A free professional production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The show will last about an hour in the Greenville Street Park. A perfect way to spend the last few days of summer with family and friends while also supporting the arts in the community.

Market Day

Saturday, August 4, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The market showcases a variety of handmade, homemade, and homegrown products created by local artisans, artists, and farmers. It features 50 unique booths with new vendors and one-of-a-kind items each month. Market favorites include: fresh locally grown produce, honey, jams and jellies, salsa, pottery, art, children’s clothing, hand-woven baskets, leather products, fresh baked goods, handcrafted furniture, birdhouses, wood-art, fiber-art, wreaths, floral design, and much more!

Each event will take place in the Greenville Street Park. The Greenville Street Park will also be filled with various festivities and vendor booths.. Downtown businesses will stay open late during the Summer NewnaNights, and feature specials and promotions for shoppers and guests.
