Weekend Weather in Coweta County: Cooler temps, best day Easter Sunday

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City didn’t do many favors with this weekend’s forecast for Coweta County.
Much cooler temperatures settle in behind the strong cold front which moved through the area early this morning. Rain will be off and on much of today with a high temperature of only 67 degrees.
On Saturday, expect cloudy skies with a high of 58 degrees and west winds at 15-20 mph.
Easter Sunday looks best with sunny skies and a high near 72 degrees.
Below is a day-by-day forecast from the NWS:
TODAY – Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before noon, then a chance of showers between noon and 1pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 1pm. High near 67. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
FRIDAY NIGHT – A 40 percent chance of showers. Cloudy, with a low around 44. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
SATURDAY – A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 4pm. Cloudy, with a high near 58. West wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
SATURDAY NIGHT – Partly cloudy, with a low around 41. West wind 5 to 10 mph.
SUNDAY – Sunny, with a high near 72. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
SUNDAY NIGHT – Clear, with a low around 49.
