Tuesday: Coweta surpasses 900 cases of COVID-19

The 3 p.m. Daily Status Report of the COVID-19 pandemic has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Tuesday, July 14.
Coweta County posted 17 new cases of COVID-19 today, surpassing the 900-mark. There we no new deaths or hospitalizations recorded. Coweta’s cumulative totals now stand at 914 cases, 16 deaths and 65 hospitalizations.
Single-day highs for Coweta since the pandemic began in March follow: cases (46 on July 3); deaths (3 on May 21); and hospitalizations (6 on May 12).
Statewide, Georgia again rose above the 3,000-case mark with 3,394 cases on Tuesday and added 28 deaths, 209 hospitalizations and 19 ICU admits. It is the 23rd consecutive day the state has had 1,000-or-more cases in a single day and the 7th time since July 1 with 3,000-or-more cases.
Overall, Georgia has 123,963 cumulative cases, 3054 deaths, 13,685 hospitalizations and 2662 ICU admits.
Georgia’s single-day highs follow: cases (4,484 on July 10); deaths (94 on April 20); hospitalizations (506 on April 7); ICU admits (46 on July 10).
Regarding hospitalizations … today’s confirmed number of COVID-19 hospitalizations is 2,741. Among Critical Care Beds in Georgia, 84 percent are in use (16 percent available). Among General Inpatient Beds in Georgia, 83 percent are in use (17 percent available). Among Total Emergency Rooms in Georgia, 61 percent are in use (39 percent available). The total of Adult Ventilators in Georgia is 2,794. Presently, 1,109 (40 percent) are in use and 1,686 (60 percent) are available.
