Update – Thursday Evening Report: Coweta rises to 257 cases

UPDATE (6:25 p.m.) – Today’s second Daily Status Report has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Thursday, May 7.

This report indicates 31,575 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Georgia (an increase of 315 from today’s midday report) and 1340 deaths (an increase of 5 from earlier today).

In Coweta County, the number of new cases rose by 11 this afternoon, now totals 257. The 4 deaths remain unchanged but 2 new hospitalizations were recorded to make that total now 41.

Adding the Georgia totals for today (Thursday) only, there’s 838 new cases, 23 deaths, 79 people hospitalized, 33 admitted to ICU.

In the last two days combined (Wednesday and Thursday), Georgia has had 1736 new cases, 46 deaths and 210 folks hospitalized.

In Coweta County, the number of new cases were adjusted and dropped by 1 overnight to 246. The 4 deaths and 39 hospitalizations remain unchanged.
