The overall numbers, according to this report, shows Newnan Health & Rehab with a cumulative total of 43 resident positive cases, 14 staff positive cases and 8 deaths.

The census at Newnan Health & Rehab is 63 residents.

It is unclear when these new cases from today will appear on the overall Daily Status Report, published at 3 p.m. each day by the Georgia Department of Public Health. Today’s totals for Coweta County on that report were 432 cumulative cases, 9 deaths and 53 hospitalized.

The story below was published at 7:30 a.m. this morning with Tuesday’s Long-Term Care Report numbers.

From Staff Reports

Tuesday’s Long-Term Care Facility Report indicated Newnan Health & Rehabilitation Nursing Home registered 7 new cases of COVID-19 and 1 death in the past 24 hours.

The June 2 Long-Term Care Facility report published at 7 p.m., and showed a cumulative total of 25 resident cases, 14 staff cases and 5 deaths for Newnan Health & Rehab, which is located at 244 East Broad Street.

Overall, Coweta County has cumulative totals of 422 cases, 9 deaths and 52 hospitalized as recorded Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the Daily Status Report from Georgia Department of Public Health. That report showed only 1 new case in Coweta yesterday.

A discrepancy does exist with deaths between the two reports Georgia uses to disseminate information to the media and general public.  Two of the 5 deaths at Newnan Health & Rehabilitation Center have not been posted on the Daily Status Report, simply meaning the 9-death total for Coweta will increase to 11 on a future published report.

Other Coweta facilities appearing on the Long-Term Care Report include Ansley Park Health & Rehabilitation (1 staff positive), Avalon Health & Rehabilitation (9 resident positives), The Plaza Personal Care Home (1 staff positive) and Watercrest Assisted Living & Memory Care (3 resident, 4 staff positives).

The Long-Term Care Facility report is published daily by the Georgia Department of Community Health. It’s data is combined in our Daily Status Report which is now published on the Winters Media Digital Platforms at approximately 3:30 p.m.
