Tuesday’s Daily Status Report: Coweta increases to 287 cases

Today’s 7 p.m. Daily Status Report of the COVID-19 pandemic has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Tuesday, May 19.

Today’s Report shows that Coweta County increased by two new cases and now has a cumulative total of 287 cases, 4 deaths and 48 hospitalizations.

There is likely two additional deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Coweta County but have not appeared on the Daily Status Report from the Department of Public Health. A published report yesterday from The Newnan Times-Herald listed a 5th death from earlier this month. Also, below in today’s Long-Term Care Facility Report, a death has been listed from Newnan Health & Rehabilitation, but is not included on today’s Daily Status Report.

In Georgia today, a total of 572 new cases were recorded, as well as 26 deaths, 84 hospitalizations and 26 admitted to ICU.

In the last two days combined (Monday and Tuesday), Georgia has had 1303 new cases, 66 deaths, 286 folks hospitalized and 50 admitted to ICU.

Overall, Georgia now has a cumulative total of 38,855 cases, 1675 deaths, 7076 hospitalized and 1607 ICU admits. The total number of tests administered now stands at 378,156.
