Warming trend continues into weekend in Coweta

The unseasonably warm temperatures will continue this weekend here in Coweta County, says the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.

Today’s high temperature is forecast to be near 73 degrees, on Saturday stays near 72 degrees before dropping slightly on Sunday to 69. Expect sunny skies on Friday, then partly sunny the remainder of the weekend. Overnight lows will be near 50.

The warm weather pattern changes Monday with a cold front pushing through and rain chances at 60 percent. The high temperature on Monday will be 63, and just 57 on Tuesday.

FRIDAY – Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 73. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.

FRIDAY NIGHT – Patchy fog after 4am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 49. Calm wind.

SATURDAY – Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 72. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.

SATURDAY NIGHT – Partly cloudy, with a low around 50. Calm wind.

SUNDAY – Partly sunny, with a high near 69. Light east wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the morning.

MONDAY – Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 63. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
