Weather: Mostly dry weekend ahead for Coweta

Folks in Coweta County can look forward to a pair of great weather days in the first half of this weekend, says the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.
Forecast highs of 77 today and 79 on Saturday under mostly sunny to sunny skies are expected here locally. Overnight lows will be in the mid-50s.
Clouds begin moving in Sunday and a 20 percent rain chance enters the forecast with a high of 80 degrees that afternoon. And later that evening, rain chances increase to 60 percent, then 70 percent on Monday.

SATURDAY – Sunny, with a high near 79. North wind around 5 mph becoming east in the afternoon.
SATURDAY NIGHT – Partly cloudy, with a low around 56. Calm wind.
SUNDAY – A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 80. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the morning.
SUNDAY NIGHT – A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 9pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
MONDAY – Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
