Weather: Cooler, breezy weekend in Coweta forecast

A passing mostly dry cold front has moved through the Coweta County area, dropping the temperatures and adding some windy conditions.
The National Weather Services in Peachtree City says to expect today’s high temperature to be only 61 degrees with sunny skies, some 13 degrees cooler than Thursday’s high of 74. Tonight’s overnight low will be 35. North and East winds will be 5-10 mph, gusting to 20.
On Saturday, the high reaches only 57 degrees also under sunny skies with an overnight low of 40. Winds will be from the East at 5-10 with gusts to 20 again.
Clouds will begin developing on Sunday as another cold front is expected to move through the area. Sunday’s high will be near 64 degrees and the overnight low near 45. A rain chance of about 40 percent appears in the Sunday evening forecast.
It’s the cold front that moves through Sunday which sets the stage for the coldest weather of the season beginning Monday. Look for sunny skies on Monday with a high of just 52, but the overnight low drops to 28 degrees under clear skies.
