Weather: Cooler temps, gusty winds this weekend in Coweta
From Staff Reports
Although fall has been around nearly three weeks, it’ll certainly feel like it has arrived this weekend here in Coweta County.
The National Weather Service in Peachtree City says a mostly dry cold front is pushing its way through Georgia and Coweta County today with a slight chance of rain (20 percent) accompanying it. That slim chance is at 10 percent early Saturday before sunny skies, cooler temperatures and gusty winds take over.
Today’s high temperature will be 82 degrees and the overnight low 64. But tomorrow, the high is expected to be near 69 and the overnight low 47. Sunday is a little cooler with a high forecast for 67 degrees and the overnight low at 45.
Winds from the Northwest will be 5-10 mph on Saturday, gusting as high as 25. Those winds stick around Saturday night and into Sunday moving directly from the North.
Monday will be similar to the weekend with sunny skies and a high near 70.
