Weekend Weather in Coweta: Rain ends, cooler temperatures move in

The week-long rain here in Coweta County will come to a stop today and Saturday, but cooler temperatures move in this weekend according to the National Weather Service.

Today, skies will begin clearing but the high temperature will only reach 46 degrees and will feel colder with a north wind at 5-10 mph, gusting to 15. Overnight, it will be clear which means temps will drop to 27.

On Saturday, expect sunny skies with a high near 56 and winds calm to 5 mph. The overnight low will dip to near freezing at 32.

And on Sunday, the forecast calls for sunny skies during the day and then mostly cloudy overnight with a 40 percent rain chance.

Here’s the day-by-day forecast (subject to change, as of 6 a.m. Friday) from the National Weather Service:

FRIDAY – Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 46. North wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

FRIDAY NIGHT – Clear, with a low around 27. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

SATURDAY – Sunny, with a high near 56. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph.

SATURDAY NIGHT – Mostly clear, with a low around 32. Calm wind.

SUNDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 58. Calm wind.

SUNDAY NIGHT – A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 44.
