Weather: Dry, warm work week ahead for Coweta County

Following last week’s rain event, Coweta County folks can look forward to a dry and warm work week.
The National Weather Service in Peachtree City says to expect mostly sunny skies through Friday with highs in the low 80s and overnight lows near 62 degrees. No mention of rain is in the extended forecast until a 20 percent chance pops up Friday evening.
Last week, the National Weather Service estimated from 4-6 inches of rain fell in Coweta County from Sunday evening (Oct. 3) through Friday (Oct. 8).

MONDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 79. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph in the morning.
MONDAY NIGHT – Mostly clear, with a low around 62. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
TUESDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph.
TUESDAY NIGHT – Partly cloudy, with a low around 62. Calm wind.
WEDNESDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.
THURSDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 83.
FRIDAY – Sunny, with a high near 83.
SATURDAY – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 77.
