Weather: Dry with average seasonal temperatures this work week

After a couple of weeks of dodging major winter storms that have played havoc with a lot of states just north of Georgia, a return to normal is the headliner for this work week forecast in Coweta County.

The National Weather Service says the average high temperature for this area during the month of February is 58.2 degrees. Coweta will see daily highs this week of 52 today, 55 on Tuesday, 59 on Wednesday, 60 on Thursday and 61 on Friday. 

As of this morning, there is no mention of rain in the extended forecast but today will be mostly cloudy as some rain is located just south of Coweta. The remainder of the week will have sunny skies.

Overnight lows are expected to be in the low 30s through Thursday.

MONDAY – Mostly cloudy, with a high near 52. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon.

MONDAY NIGHT – Partly cloudy, with a low around 30. Northwest wind around 5 mph.

TUESDAY – Sunny, with a high near 55. Northwest wind around 5 mph.

TUESDAY NIGHT – Clear, with a low around 31. Calm wind.

WEDNESDAY – Sunny, with a high near 59. Light west wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

THURSDAY – Sunny, with a high near 60.

FRIDAY – Sunny, with a high near 61.

SATURDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 61.
