Weather: High temperatures to reach 90 degrees beginning Wednesday

Coweta County is expected to have its first string of 90-degree weather of 2022 later this week, according to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.

After a slight 30 percent rain chance later today due to a passing cold front, the heat begins in earnest on Wednesday with sunny skies and a high of 90. Thursday will have a forecast high of 92 and Friday 91.

Overnight lows will be in the upper 50s and mid 60s.

Rain does not return to the extended forecast until Friday night.

MONDAY – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 4pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 87. Light west wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.

MONDAY NIGHT – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 7pm. Mostly clear, with a low around 58. North wind 5 to 10 mph.

TUESDAY – Sunny, with a high near 86. North wind around 5 mph.

TUESDAY NIGHT – Clear, with a low around 59. Calm wind.

WEDNESDAY – Sunny, with a high near 90. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon.

THURSDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 92.

FRIDAY – Sunny, with a high near 91.

SATURDAY – A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 89.
