Weather: Highs near 90 with chance of rain each day this week

The summer weather pattern has certainly settled in to the Coweta County area.

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City says to expect high temperatures near 90 degrees all work week, with overnight lows around 70 and a chance of a pop-up shower or thunderstorm daily.

Best chances for rain appear to be tonight, Tuesday and Tuesday evening. Rain chances are listed at 50 percent, 70 percent and 60 percent, respectively.

The rain chances drop to around 30 percent on Saturday but the high is forecast for 91.

MONDAY – Sunny, with a high near 90. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

MONDAY NIGHT – A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 72. Southwest wind around 5 mph. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

TUESDAY – Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 88. West wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

WEDNESDAY – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

THURSDAY – A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 90.

FRIDAY – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 88.

SATURDAY – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91.
