Weather: More rain expected late Tuesday, warmer temps ahead

After the weekend’s winter blast, Coweta County will return to more seasonable temperatures this work week.
Saturday’s high at the Newnan-Coweta Airport was 38 degrees with the highest wind gust recorded listed at 37 mph. Saturday’s overnight low dipped to 24. Following a cold start, Sunday’s high reached 55.
The National Weather Service in Peachtree City says to expect high temperatures to be in the low-to-mid 60s for much of the upcoming week, reaching 70 on Thursday. Rain enters the extended forecast late Tuesday and stays through Wednesday night before giving way to partly sunny skies on Thursday.
Some patchy frost will be around Coweta this morning until 10, then look for sunny skies and a high of 63. Monday’s overnight low will be 44.
Clouds move in Tuesday as the high reaches 64. Rain chances are listed at 30 percent in the afternoon, increasing to 90 percent later that evening.
Wednesday will likely be a rainy day with rain chances listed at 80 percent.
