Weather: Rain forecast for much of the week

From Staff Reports
It’s been a while since a significant rain event has taken place in Coweta County, but now there’s one that will last most of the work week.
A stalled high pressure system in the Atlantic Ocean is the reason rain chances exist of 70 percent today, 50 percent on Tuesday, 70 percent on Wednesday and 90 percent on Thursday. The best way to describe the forecast will be simply off-and-on rain through Thursday night before sunny skies return in time for the Memorial Day weekend on Friday.
High temperatures will be 77 today, 81 on Tuesday, 83 on Wednesday, then in the mid-70s Thursday and Friday. Overnight lows will be in the 60s.
Memorial Day weekend looks nice with sunny skies and highs in the low 80s on Saturday and Sunday.
