Weather: Rain likely to bookend this weekend in Coweta

The National Weather Services in Peachtree City says to expect rain on both ends of this weekend here in Coweta County.
A 60 percent rain chance is in today’s forecast with a high of 71 degrees. Then rain chances bump to 70 percent on Sunday with a high of only 61.
In the middle, Saturday’s forecast will likely be a dry one with mostly cloudy skies and a high of 63. No mention of rain during the day. A slight 10 percent chance is in the evening forecast about the time of Newnan’s Christmas Parade. Expect the temperature to be around 57 degrees at the start of the parade.
Rain does move in after the parade around 1 a.m. and is listed at 40 percent.
Overnight lows will be 55 Friday night, 51 Saturday and 49 on Sunday.
The rain will move out of the area by Monday with partly sunny skies and a high of 62 to start the work week.

Mostly cloudy, with a high near 71. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
FRIDAY NIGHT – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 7pm. Patchy fog between 1am and 4am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 55. Calm wind.
SATURDAY – Mostly cloudy, with a high near 63. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph.
SATURDAY NIGHT – A 40 percent chance of showers after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51. East wind around 5 mph.
SUNDAY – Showers likely, with thunderstorms also possible after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 61. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
MONDAY – Partly sunny, with a high near 62.
