Weather Week in Coweta: Cooler temps through Wednesday

The final week of Spring will have cooler temperatures and a slight chance of rain through Wednesday, says the National Weather Service forecast.

Expect high temperatures of 80, 77 and 81 degrees, respectively, today through Wednesday with lows in the upper 50s. A 30 percent rain chance is in Monday’s forecast, 20 percent on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Warmer weather returns on Thursday with a high near 85 degrees. Friday’s high  is expected to be 88, then 90-degree highs appear in the weekend forecast.

Below is the day-by-day breakdown forecast for Coweta County (subject to change) from the NWS:

MONDAY – A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11am. Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 80. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

MONDAY NIGHT – A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 59. East wind 5 to 10 mph.

TUESDAY – A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 77. Northeast wind around 5 mph.

TUESDAY NIGHT – Partly cloudy, with a low around 58. East wind around 5 mph.

WEDNESDAY – A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. Calm wind becoming northeast around 5 mph.

THURSDAY – A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 85.

FRIDAY – Sunny, with a high near 88.
