Weather Week in Coweta: Warmer, summer pattern moves in

Though the official start of summer is almost three weeks away, folks here in Coweta County will get a taste of warmer weather this work week says the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.

Forecast highs for the week will stay in the 85-87 degree range under mosty sunny skies through the week with lows in the mid-60s.

Rain chances are practically non-existent until Thursday. The forecast then calls for a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms through Saturday, 30 percent on Sunday.

Below is the day-by-day forecast (subject to change) from the NWS:

MONDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 85. East wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

MONDAY NIGHT – Partly cloudy, with a low around 62. East wind 5 to 10 mph.

TUESDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 86. South wind around 5 mph.

WEDNESDAY – Partly sunny, with a high near 87. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph.

THURSDAY – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 9am. Partly sunny, with a high near 87.

FRIDAY – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 9am. Partly sunny, with a high near 87.
