Weather Week in Coweta: Mild temperatures, sun and rain mixed in

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City says to expect mild temperatures for the work week here in Coweta County.

The high temperatures each day will be near 70 degrees with the lows in the high 40s to mid-50s. A 60 percent rain chance is expected later today, then two days of sunshine on Tuesday and Wednesday. And rain moves back in on Thursday and Friday.

Looking at the upcoming weekend, a cool down is forecast with mostly sunny skies and highs near 60 and lows in the 30s.

Below is the day-by-day forecast (as of 6:30 a.m.) from the NWS:

TODAY – A chance of showers, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 5pm. Cloudy, with a high near 67. North wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

TUESDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 70. North wind around 5 mph becoming east in the afternoon.

WEDNESDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 68. Southeast wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

THURSDAY – Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 72. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

FRIDAY – Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Cloudy, with a high near 65. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
