Weather Week in Coweta: Rain chances each day, highs in upper 80s

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has a built-in rain chance each day in this work week’s forecast.
A 60 percent chance of a shower or thunderstorm is in today’s forecast, followed by 20 percent on Tuesday and Wednesday, then back up to 40 percent on Thursday and Friday. Each day will be mostly sunny to partly sunny, except when these summer-time pop-up showers arrive.
High temperatures will be in the upper 80s with lows in the upper 60s.

MONDAY – Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 5pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 89. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
TUESDAY – A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 89. West wind 5 to 10 mph.
WEDNESDAY – A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 87. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.
THURSDAY – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 87.
FRIDAY – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 88.
