Weather Week in Coweta: Rain through Thursday

More rain is expected here in Coweta County through much of this work week, according to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.
Today, a Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until mid-morning with a 20% rain chance and mostly cloudy skies.
Rain moves in overnight with Tuesday’s forecast calling for a high of 52 degrees with a 100 percent rain chance. On Wednesday and Thursday, rain chances are 60 and 70 percent, respectively, before sunny skies and a high of 48 takes over on Friday.
Below is the day-by-day forecast (subject to change, as of 5 a.m. Monday):
MONDAY – Areas of drizzle before 10am, then a slight chance of showers after 1pm. Areas of dense fog before 10am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 59. East wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
MONDAY NIGHT – A chance of showers, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 3am. Cloudy, with a low around 52. Southeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
