Wednesday: Coweta adds 13 new cases, 3 hospitalizations

The 3 p.m. Daily Status Report of the COVID-19 pandemic has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Wednesday, July 15.
Today, Coweta County increased by 13 new cases of COVID-19 and 3 hospitalizations. No deaths were recorded. The 3 hospitalizations were the most since May 12.
Cumulative totals for Coweta now stand at 927 cases, 16 deaths and 68 hospitalizations.
Single-day highs for Coweta since the pandemic began in March follow: cases (46 on July 3); deaths (3 on May 21); and hospitalizations (6 on May 12).
Georgia posted its 2nd-highest day of new cases with 3,871 while adding 37 deaths, 417 hospitalizations and 40 ICU admits. The 417 hospitalizations were the most since April 7. It is the 24th consecutive day the state has had 1,000-or-more cases in a single day and the 8th time since July 1 with 3,000-or-more cases.
Overall, Georgia has 127,834 cumulative cases, 3091 deaths, 14,102 hospitalizations and 2702 ICU admits.
Georgia’s single-day highs follow: cases (4,484 on July 10); deaths (94 on April 20); hospitalizations (506 on April 7); ICU admits (46 on July 10).
Regarding hospitalizations … today’s confirmed number of COVID-19 hospitalizations is 2,786. Among Critical Care Beds in Georgia, 84 percent are in use (16 percent available). Among General Inpatient Beds in Georgia, 84 percent are in use (16 percent available). Among Total Emergency Rooms in Georgia, 60 percent are in use (40 percent available). The total of Adult Ventilators in Georgia is 2,794. Presently, 1,092 (39 percent) are in use and 1,697 (61 percent) are available.
