Weekend Weather in Coweta: Mostly dry, cooler Sunday

Look for sunny skies for most of this upcoming weekend and breezy conditions, says the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.

Today (Friday), sunshine fills in after yesterday’s front passed through and the high will be near 74 degrees.

On Saturday, mostly sunny skies is in the forecast with a high near 78 but with southeast winds 5-15 mph, gusting to 25. A 20 percent rain chance exists in the afternoon.

And on Sunday, it’s sunny skies with a high of only 69. Again, winds will be a factor at 5-10 mph, gusting to 20 from the west.

Below is the day-by-day forecast (subject to change) from the NWS:

FRIDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 74. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

FRIDAY NIGHT – Mostly clear, with a low around 52. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

SATURDAY – A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 78. Southeast wind 5 to 15 mph becoming south in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

SATURDAY NIGHT – Partly cloudy, with a low around 52. West wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

SUNDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 69. West wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

SUNDAY NIGHT – Mostly clear, with a low around 46.
