From Staff Reports

Finally, it appears the hot and humid summer combination may take a weekend off here in Coweta County.

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City says the high temperatures will likely stick around but the humidity is going away for at least Saturday and Sunday.

A cold front is expected to pass through the area later this evening which will push out the humidity and bring in some cooler, drier air. Folks here locally will notice it overnight with lows dropping into the mid-60s.

Today’s high should be near 86 degrees. The forecast highs under sunny skies on Saturday and Sunday will be 85 and 87, respectively, but will feel slightly cooler without the humidity the area’s been experiencing lately. No chance of rain is in either day’s forecast.
