Weekend Weather in Coweta: Mostly dry, mild temperatures

The first official fall weekend of the year will be mostly dry with high temperatures in the low 80s, says the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.

Friday will be mostly cloudy with a high of 78 degrees.

Partly sunny skies return on Saturday and Sunday with highs near 81.  Overnight lows will be in the 60s.

Below is the day-by-day forecast (subject to change) from the NWS:

FRIDAY – Patchy drizzle with a slight chance of showers before 11am, then a slight chance of showers after 11am. Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. Southwest wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

FRIDAY NIGHT – A 20 percent chance of showers before 9pm. Patchy fog after 11pm. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 63. Calm wind.

SATURDAY – Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 81. Calm wind.

SATURDAY NIGHT – Partly cloudy, with a low around 63. Calm wind.

SUNDAY – A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 9am. Partly sunny, with a high near 81. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph.

SUNDAY NIGHT – A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
