Weekend Weather in Coweta: Plenty of sunshine, warmer

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has dialed in a sunny and warm weekend forecast for Newnan and Coweta County this weekend.

No rain chances are in the weekend forecast (as of 7 a.m. today) with highs in the low 80s on Saturday and Sunday. Lows will be in the 50s overnight.

Look for windy conditions on both Friday and Sunday. Today, winds will be from the northwest at 5-10 mph, gusting to 20 early in the day. And on Sunday, winds will be from the southwest at 5-10 mph with gusts to 20 as well.

Below is the day-by-day forecast (subject to change) from the NWS:

TODAY – Sunny, with a high near 74. Light west wind becoming northwest 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

TONIGHT – Clear, with a low around 50. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

SATURDAY – Sunny, with a high near 81. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.

SATURDAY NIGHT – Clear, with a low around 55. Calm wind.

SUNDAY – Sunny, with a high near 83. Light west wind becoming southwest 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

SUNDAY NIGHT – Mostly clear, with a low around 59.
