Weekend Weather in Coweta: Rain moving out, sunny Sunday afternoon

This morning’s forecast from the National Weather Service in Peachtree City indicates the entire weekend will not be a washout.
After a 40 percent chance of more rain today and another 30 percent on Saturday, finally drier conditions arrive Sunday afternoon with sunny skies and a high near 65.
Look for mostly cloudy skies Friday and Saturday but a lower chance of precipitation than was forecast earlier in the week.
Below is the day-by-day forecast from the National Weather Service (as of 6:30 a.m. Friday):
TODAY – A 40 percent chance of showers. Areas of fog before noon. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 70. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph.
SATURDAY – A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 3pm. Cloudy, with a high near 67. East wind around 5 mph.
SUNDAY – Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 8am. High near 65. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
