The warm weather here in the Coweta County area is also bringing with it more events and things to do over the weekend. This weekend (April 12-13-14) is no exception.

Friday night offers up some local and live music from various venues in Newnan, Peachtree City and Hogansville.

On Saturday, choose from many events such as the Record Store Day at Vinylyte Records, Piggy Bank Day, an Easter Egg Hunt, the Spring Plant Sale, the Gingerlily Festival in Sharpsburg and the Peachtree City Night Market.

And on Sunday, a unique Easter Egg Hunt takes place in the swimming pool at the Summit Family YMCA.

Weather-wise, only a slight chance of rain is in the forecast for today and Saturday with highs near 80 degrees. Sunday’s weather could include some severe thunderstorms as a strong cold front moves through. Rain chances are at 90 percent.
