From Staff Reports

As the leaves begin to change here in Coweta, October is a month of plenty – as in plenty of things to do.

Five festivals are included in this month’s events calendar – WWII Heritage Days, Hispanic Heritage Days and the Magnolia Arts Festival all in Peachtree City, the Buffalo Creek Fall Festival in Carrollton and one of the area’s favorites the Hummingbird Festival in Hogansville.

Four concerts are scheduled for the Southern Ground Amphitheater in Fayetteville. Blithe Spirit opens at Newnan Theatre Company. The Newnan Centre hosts no less than 10 programs and events.

There’s a Magic Show at Wadsworth Auditorium, hiking and paddling at Chattahoochee Bend State Park, plus a saving the environment event with Keep Newnan Beautiful’s Paint Recycling.

But the real star of October is Halloween. It’s the ghosts and goblins, the witches and all the scary things associated with the Oct. 31st evening celebration.

Below are eight Spooktacular events leading up to the scariest time of the year.
