Horton, Brass to speak at next CARE Meeting

The Coweta Association of Retired Educators (CARE) invites all retirees from any educational setting to attend its next meeting at Royal Baptist Church on Tuesday, October 10.

Coweta County School Superintendent Evan Horton will deliver his annual state of the system address, and Georgia State Senator Matt Brass will talk about legislative issues affecting retired educators in Georgia.

Members will receive thank you cards, as well as stars from retired American flags, to mail to local veterans in honor of Veterans Day November 11. Plans to observe Georgia Retired Educators Day on November 5 will also be announced.

CARE meets the second Tuesday of every month – September through May – at Royal Baptist Church, 70 Mayo Royal Industrial Drive in Newnan. Refreshments are served at 11:30 a.m., and the program begins at 11:45 a.m.
